SUNDAY: Tomorrow is Women's Meeting!!

Today was church day.  Everyone reported enjoying the worship service a lot (Beth even treated everyone to an impromptu solo!)  The only downer was that on the way to church, we got news that one of the women in the church had been told by her Christian husband to leave, and decided she and the kids needed a good beating to get how serious he was.  Jerk.  Sorry.  This man has been troublesome and problematic for months now within the leadership team (he likes to think of himself as a leader, but he has absolutely no followers).  Anyway, it is regarded by some as culturally appropriate, but not by any decent, especially Christian people.  

Later, I made a flying trip to Cotonou and back (left at 1p and returned at 7p) to retrieve one final bag that didn’t make the Friday night flight.  Lots of good stuff from home in those bags!

Tomorrow is a BIG day….Women’s Meeting!! K, K & B  have spent hours tonight getting things gathered up…Dawna will join them as well tomorrow and it is sure to be a big day of encouragement….it did finally rain today, which is much needed….we’re hoping that people will still come, even though many will need to be in their fields following such a good soaking.  Tomorrow’s theme is:  “You are a Child of God” and concentrating on the price Jesus paid for us and how much God cherishes his treasured bride.
