Praise the Lord with us!!! Today we got word that Ega has received the official copy of his birth certificate!!!! That is what we have been waiting on since the first week of February 2006. Now we can get this show on the road!!!! More prayers than we could know or count are being lifted on our behalf and we are so thankful. Please continue your prayers that the Lord will grant us favor and show His mercy through all of the men and women who will be assisting us through this adoption process in Benin. We will keep you informed. Randy is in Cotonou for the next 2 days and one of the things that he will be doing is confirming the process that will make her adoption secure! This picture was taken the week of her birthday. She is pictured here with Ega, her birthfather. I had been waiting to post it when we received the news that we received today! Praise the Lord with us!

Kelly, God's timing is perfect. I can only imagine how elated you all are! Think how many prayers the Lord has received and enjoyed on the Vaughns' and Lael and wonderful Ega's behalf because of this frustrating situation, with more to come.

I was thrilled to receive the email from Becky today and then just as excited to flip over to your blog and read your words! I know that your hearts lept when you got the news.
I called Kelly C. as soon as I found out and we were both rejoicing for and with you.
What a cherished picture of Ega and Lael...I am blessed to have shook his hand and to have sat in his home. Ega is truly an incredible man!
I am very eager to call you. I hope to do so soon...many new things happening to take up my time during the day, so I have to be strategic!

That picture brings tears to my eyes -- how beautiful! Every night when we pray with Jeremiah, we thank God for Jessica (his birthmother) and every night he says, "I see Jessica's picture." And we get the picture of the two of them off his shelf and show it to him. He points to her and smiles and points out that she's holding Jeremiah (or Yaiya, which is how he says his name). It is a sweet moment every night. I know you will cherish that and many more pictures that will show her glimpses of her heritage as she grows up. What joy!!

Vaughn's! This is so exciting! I'm so excited to meet another cousin! Our family is just too cool!
Well it looks like all 3 Goode girls are blogging in a row. This is so thrilling and such a blessing. What a true testimony to the power of prayer. And once again, I am so thankful God decided that this was the family for me.
I'm just now getting a chance to reply on this great news!! Kendra told me about this upon my return home Thursday night and it made my day!! God is so good for seeing Ega and you guys through this. Blessed be HIS name !!
