Today, AUGUST 1st, is Benin's Independence Day. The territory became a French Colony in 1872 and achieved independence in 1960. There was a parade in the town square at noon, so Jim and I took Tori and Timo down to watch.

Also, thanks a bunch for getting the blog up and going again...I was suffering a great void in my life today not getting to have my daily view of the Vaughn portion of our grandchildren!
